The defense asked Warren to review the work of Melissa Oberg. She is the former Indiana State Police crime lab technician who examined the unspent round found at the murder scene and compared it to Allen's gun. Oberg's analysis found the crime scene round had been cycled through Allen's gun.

Dr. Polly Westcott testified for the defense that prolonged isolation and lack of meaningful contact with his wife aggravated Allen's mental illness

A jury of seven women and five men from the Fort Wayne area may be delivering a verdict in the case this week. That verdict could result in a finding of guilty or not guilty.
