Boeing’s machinists ratified a new labor deal, ending a paralyzing strike after nearly eight weeks and clearing the way for the plane maker to restart its factories.Workers voted in favor of a contract that delivers a 38% wage increase over the life of the four-year deal for 33,

The deal includes pay raises of 38% over four years, and ratification and productivity bonuses. Boeing refused to meet a demand to restore a company pension plan.

Over 33,000 Boeing workers who have been on strike for the past seven weeks are headed back to work after a Monday vote by union members who narrowly approved a new labor contract with the aerospace giant.
