Disney’s Star Wars film strategy seems lost in the desert, with plans for future movies centered around Rey as everyone else is dead.

Despite being one of the biggest pop culture franchises, Disney has struggled to get many of its Star Wars films on the screen. The latest in a string of Star Wars movies facing development issues is Daisy Ridley’s new Star Wars sequel, which shares some similarities with Henry Cavill’s Superman saga.

Daisy Ridley's character Rey Skywalker will reportedly appear in "several" upcoming Star Wars films as she's been deemed the galaxy far, far away's "most valuable cinematic asset."

But, a new Star Wars trilogy is in the works, and, according to this report, it will feature Rey. So will multiple other movies that are in development, though there are no details on which ones these may be. "She is the most valuable cinematic asset, in some ways maybe the only one, Star Wars has right now," a source told THR.

According to THR, Lucasfilm is reportedly convinced that Rey is the future of the franchise and wants to get her back on screen as soon as freaking possible:
