Tech giant Apple is asking investors to keep its diversity, equity and inclusion policies amid a sweeping reversal by other technology and business entities following President-elect Trump's November election win.

Meta recently joined companies like Walmart, Lowe’s and Ford, which have already announced they would scale back their commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

Apple's board of directors recommended shareholders reject a proposal for the company to end its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) program, calling such a move "unnecessary."
