Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has responded humorously to the news of counterfeit currency featuring his face, which was recently seized in Gujarat.

Imagine waking up to your picture on a currency note!!! Bollywood actor Anupam Kher experienced the same ordeal. Gujarat Police recovered fake currency notes with Rs 500 note featuring Anupam Kher instead of Mahatma Gandhi. The fake notes also featured ‘Resole Bank of India’ instead of ‘Reserve Bank of India’.

As per the Ahmedabad City police, the accused set up an elaborate plan to trap the victim, a bullion trader, including setting up a fake office where the gold was delivered.

Anupam Kher reacted to a case in Ahmedabad wherein fraudsters duped a man using fake currency notes featuring the actor's face.

Fake notes with Anupam Kher's face on it with 'Resole Bank Of India' printed on them, instead of 'Reserve Bank Of India' were seized in Gujrat. These fake notes were worth Rs 1.60 crore.
