Many around the professional wrestling industry were surprised when it was reported that former NXT tag and WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin was among a trio of veterans released by the company.

The company picked Baron Corbin to retire Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 35, something that’s never sat well with the Olympic gold medalist and WWE Hall of Famer. Their decision to move on from Corbin doesn’t help.
