It appears that the age of “spring games” in college football is coming to an end, as the Oklahoma Sooners became the latest program to cancel their spring game.

For decades, the spring game has been an annual tradition for several college football programs. It is a great way to conclude spring training and gives fans a preview of football before the fall season begins.

Two of the most promising signees of the 2025 class came on the offensive line, in five-star prospect Michael Fasusi and four-star Ryan Fodje, both tackles. Freshmen haven’t often played for the Sooners up front under Bill Bedenbaugh but those two could be ready sooner rather than later.
