Assassin's Creed Shadows, the latest installment of the historical action-adventure video game series from Ubisoft Quebec, may not be released on Friday, November 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PCs,

Without giving any explanation as to why, Ubisoft has pulled out of this year's Tokyo Game Show days before it was set to go ahead.

Posting on Twitter just yesterday, Ubisoft Japan has has cancelled its previously planned TGS livestream due to "various circumstances". The broadcast was set to showcase brand-new Assassin's Creed Shadows footage, alongside updates for already released titles like Star Wars Outlaws and XDefiant.

Ahead of this week's Tokyo Game Show 2024 event, Ubisoft has suddenly and surprisingly cancelled its appearance at the show.

Tokyo Game Show kicks off tomorrow, September 26th, and runs until the 29th. One of the world's largest gaming exhibitions, the event is held in the massive Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba, located just outside of Tokyo.
