Tua Tagovailoa’s father Galu says his son made it clear he has no plans of retiring due to concussion concerns.

Galu Tagovailoa spoke about his son continuing to play football despite his lengthy history with head injuries.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is doubtful for Week 18 due to a hip injury he suffered earlier this month. Tagovailoa was also doubtful last week for a game against the Cleveland Browns and was eventually listed as inactive.

According to The Athletic's playoff prediction model, the Dolphins have a 19% chance of making the playoffs heading into Week 18. This places them behind the Denver Broncos, who have a 74% chance, but ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals, whose chances stand at just 6%.

He needs to be available,’ Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said, adding that he’s ‘very confident’ in his franchise quarterback. ‘He needs to know how to protect himself.’
