Apple's first OLED MacBook Pro remains on schedule for a 2026 release, featuring the new slimmer design Apple is rumored to be working on,

Some past reports have claimed that Apple will move away from the IPS LCD displays that are currently offered on MacBook Pro models in favour of OLED by 2025. That was initially suggested by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, although it was contradicted by display analyst Ross Young who believed it would be 2026.

This isn’t the first time The Elec has claimed the MacBook Air OLED has been delayed. In a recent report, it claimed Apple delayed the MacBook Air OLED because the iPad Pro M4 (which also has an OLED display) did not meet sales expectations. Due to that, Apple reportedly wants to stick with LCD for the MacBook Air for the next few years.
