Glucose monitoring without piercing the skin is a prize companies like Apple and Samsung have been aiming for. Now, Samsung has news.

Samsung's senior vice president Hon Pak briefly highlighted the company's work at developing non-invasive glucose monitoring. Pak stated the feature would be "optically-based," forgoing any needles, and could come with a nutrition coaching function.

With a new Galaxy Watch for Kids mode, children can use the smartwatch to call and text trusted contacts, while parents can also track their kids’ locations via GPS. The option starts rolling out today and will work on Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T networks.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is set to stream live on January 22 at 10am PT/1pm ET. It will be hosted on the Samsung YouTube page, its website, and its newsroom page. Based on previous Unpacked events, the livestream will likely run for about 60 minutes.
