An alert for heavy rain on Friday was issued by IMD. Fourteen districts face warnings of heavy downpours, with a yellow alert for lightning in place for western districts.

Patna: As many as 13 districts in Bihar are at risk of “flash floods” over the next 24 hours as these areas will witness heavy rainfall, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday. According to IMD,

Heavy rain is likely in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Patna, Jehanabad, Madhubani and Bhojpur districts, IMD's bulletin said.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday forecast heavy rainfall in parts of Bihar, and warned of low to moderate flash flood risk in 13 districts over the next 24 hours.
