Greetings, gamblers. The Los Angeles Clippers were forced to usher in a new era when star swingman Paul George left via free agency last summer. While losing a superstar is never easy, the Clippers have managed to look the part of a playoff team thus far. Los Angeles is playing some of its best basketball of the season, and tonight they'll be visiting the Phoenix Suns. Our Jason La Canfora notes that the Clippers possess an 8-2 record ATS over their last 10 games. Additionally, the Suns have been struggling to cover as they're just 2-4 ATS in their last six contests. Phoenix can do a bulk of their damage from the perimeter, but Los Angeles is holding opponents to just a 33.9% shooting clip from three, good enough for third in the NBA. As a result, the Clippers are definitely the side worth backing in this matchup. In late September, Golden was subject to an investigation in which there were claims made against him, which allegedly involved two women. The case was investigated by the school due to the fact that Golden could've violated Florida's Gender Equity Policy. On most occasions, Title IX investigations aren't disclosed to the public, but this investigation became public after the university's student newspaper the "Independent Florida Alligator" broke a story on Nov. 8 detailing the allegations against Golden. The Alligator reported that Golden allegedly sent unsolicited pictures of his genitalia, requested sexual favors and took photos of women in their cars on campus. According to the school's Title IX investigation, those claims couldn't be verified."The University of Florida takes these matters seriously and works deliberately to ensure that due process is upheld for everyone," a school spokesperson told CBS Sports. "After a thorough investigation that included dozens of interviews over the past months, the University of Florida has found no evidence that Todd Golden violated Title IX. The Title IX office has closed its investigation." 🔥 The Hot TicketClippers at Suns, 9:30 p.m. | TV: NBA TVThe Pick: Clippers -2.5 (-110)Key trend: The Clippers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games.SportsLine expert Jason La Canfora is 9-2 in his last 11 ATS picks involving the Clippers.La Canfora: "The Clippers have been playing some great basketball as of late as they carry a 8-2 ATS record over their last 10 games. This is a team that is coming off of a 10-point win against the Bucks, and the Clippers have a 17-8 ATS record after a win. Meanwhile, the Suns are just 2-4 ATS in their last six games, and have only covered the spread on three occasions in their last 10 contests. These teams haven't met since October, but a lot has changed since then. The Clippers boast one of the league's top defenses as they're allowing just 106.8 points per contest (third in the NBA). They look like the hungrier team in this matchup."👀 Here's what else SportsLine is saying about the game: The Projection Model has "C" picks on the spread, moneyline and total. Get one week of picks from SportsLine completely free with the promo code NEWSLETTER*. Sign up here to get started! 💰 Also on tonight ...Pistons at Cavaliers, 7 p.m. | TV: NBA TVThe Projection: Under 235 (-108) | Grade: B -- ModerateSportsLine's Projection Model has "B" grades on the total and moneyline with a "C" grade for the spread for the contest. Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal will not waive his no-trade clause to go to the Chicago Bulls, a source familiar with the three-time All-Star’s thinking told The Athletic. The Bulls had been mentioned as one team the Suns could use to facilitate a hypothetical trade for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.
Former Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal was the face of the franchise in the summer of 2022 with the John Wall era completely behind the team. The Wizards, facing a conundrum, felt propelled to give Beal a five-year deal worth $251 million with a full no-trade clause.
Beal essentially holds the keys to a massive trade that would net the Suns the talents of Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler. Beal owns a no-trade clause and without his full agreement on a deal, one of the biggest trades in recent league history can't go down.
