DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers legend Kirk Gibson will not be a part of the club’s television broadcasts in 2025. The news was announced Monday in a joint statement by Gibson, the Tigers and FanDuel Sports Network. A Michigan native, Gibson played 12 years for the Tigers and was a member of the 1984 World Series team.

Kirk Gibson, who has waged a public battle against Parkinson's disease, will remain a member of Tigers organization as a special assistant to the GM.
