According to a statement from the St. Louis County sheriff, the crash happened just after 8 a.m. near the North Woods School in Cook.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said 31 students were on board when the incident happened around 8:10 a.m. near the Northwoods School in the city of Cook. In a news release, the agency said the school bus slid off the roadway and struck two trees before coming to rest against a light pole that was knocked down.
