The cancellations are the result of the winter storm that swept through North Texas Thursday, leaving snow and icy roads in its wake. More than 1,800 flights through D-FW’s airports were canceled Thursday, while others were delayed or diverted.

DFW posted on X that Friday will be a game of catch-up after more than two-thirds of flights were canceled the day before.

In total, more than 1,600 flights have been canceled at DFW Airport and Love Field, according to Flight Aware. If your plane is still scheduled, airlines ask passengers to arrive early and to be flexible if planes are rerouted or rescheduled.
