Congress expelled 10 leaders for six years due to anti-party activities, naming Chitra Sarwara and Satvinder Rana among others. BJP also removed eight leaders for running as independents in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections,

The Congress party has taken decisive action in Haryana , expelling 10 leaders for engaging in anti-party activities. These leaders, many of whom are contesting elections as independents, have been removed from the party for a period of six years.

Ahead of the Haryana Assembly polls, Congress on Sunday expelled its two leaders for six years for indulging in anti-party activities.

The Congress party in Haryana appears to have a tailwind behind it. The over two crore voters will have the opportunity on October 5  to speak through the ballot. Who will the voters choose to govern for the next five years will be known on October 8.

Among the expelled leaders are former Haryana minister Ranjit Chautala, who had quit the post after he was denied ticket and Sandeep Garg, who had filed nomination to contest against Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini from Ladwa.

Now, in the 20-member Panchkula MC House, the Congress stands the strongest with 10 councillors, ahead of BJP’s eight and Jannayak Janata Party’s two. Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal is from the BJP
