LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders proclaims Jan. 9, 2025, as “President Jimmy Carter Day in Arkansas.” The proclamation comes on the heels of President Joe Biden declaring Jan. 9, the day of President Carter’s funeral, as a National Day of Mourning.

Sanders said Carter put his faith front and center while helping people around the world through volunteer work.
