A 27-year-old man was killed Sunday evening in a shooting in the Red Bird area of Dallas, police say. Officers were dispatched about 7:35 p.m. to the 4300 block of West Camp Wisdom Road, near Independence Drive, where they found DeElvin Smith had been shot. Smith died at the scene, police said.

Police didn't provide details about a possible suspect and said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
