Anthony Edwards drilled a 3-pointer with 23.2 seconds left to cap a stunning fourth-quarter rally and lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 113-112 victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday.

Fred VanVleet sent his lob to Amen Thompson impossibly high, as if by then the Houston Rockets needed just one thing, one more jaw-dropping, crowd-screaming highlight. The Rockets got it, with Thompson climbing past the top shelf to a one-hand catch and spike.

The Timberwolves got off to a rough start in the final leg of this three-game road trip when their flight was delayed several hours by thunderstorms heading out of Dallas on Thursday. But their trip ended on a much brighter note in a 113-112 comeback win over the Rockets.

The Timberwolves were well on their way to another disappointing performance on Friday in Houston. Fresh off a Christmas Day victory in Dallas, Minnesota was getting outplayed by a more physical and athletic Rockets team through the game’s first 44 minutes.
