Social Security payment schedule changed for some recipients to start 2025
Some Social Security recipients will see a payment schedule change for the end of 2024 and the start of 2025. Recipients of Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, typically receive their payments on the first of each month. However, because Jan. 1 is New Year’s Day and a holiday, the payments will be made on Dec. 31, 2024 instead.
